COMET - Construction Organizing Members Education Training is a vital part of our Union studies. Educating members on the need for organizing is critical in both understanding of our industry and the growth of our Local. Many Locals dismiss the need for orgainzing, ultimately those Locals find it hard to prosper as the Non-union competition grows around them.

COMET is delivered in to sessions. Session 1 is an introduction to organizing and rights of workers in this province. Session 2 is an informative view of how you as a member can help our Local grow and be more prosperous in the years to come.

Educating our members is not enough. Together with the Local's executive and elected officials this Local is committed to making our voices heard at the provincial and national government levels. Lobbying our governments on our rights and the rights of workers is part of our COMET sessions.
